Newsletter 2021-’22
After two years of online classes due to the lockdown, our school finally opened in person for Std 10 on August 1st 2021. Covid protocol was strictly adhered to and all students are double vaccinated.
The enrollment for Std 10 was 12 students. We focused on preparing them for the board exams ,which began on March 15th and ended on April 27th. The students had tutorials (TMA) as part of their exams in all 5 subjects and all scored over 85% in the tutorials.
We are happy that all of our students have passed the boards, with four of them passing with first class. Thanks to our fully committed teachers and the hard work of the students, we had very good results. We even had a 28 year old student, who appeared for the board exams and has done well.
Two of our young supporters, Archana and Sachita Bhat have started a scholarship for Std 10 students. This fund will reward Rs 5000 for students who score above 60% and Rs. 10,000 for above 75%. The reward money would be used towards their education such as tuition books etc. This has been an additional motivating factor for many students to perform well.
For students of Std 5,6,7,8,9 classes started in person on November 1st. Since many have gone back to their villages after the onset of covid, they are doing what they can online. We are still trying to persuade them to attend in person. The kindergarten, Std 1,2,3, 4 classes remains closed as the children under 12 have not been vaccinated .
Laptops donated by our generous sponsors in 2020 have been put to good use and the students are very grateful.
Thank You once again to all our wonderful sponsors. We hope you will renew the sponsorship for your student in the coming year.
