Student enrollment has increased to 120 students this school year (2014-2015). We have 9 children in the 10th Std who are appearing for their exams in April 2015 under NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling ). So far 16 students have passed out from our school and are either pursuing higher studies or are working. We encourage them to continue further studies, especially girls by paying their fees & helping them in their tuition. One of the girls who graduated from our school, Ritu, completed 11th and 12th from a college & is now in a good college doing a course in BBI {Banking & Insurance}. We paid her fees throughout and we also gave her a net-book. In her free time, she comes to our school to inspire the children to study and helps them with their studies.

A big thanks to the following Sponsors:

Lokandwala Resident’s Association, for providing two sets of new school uniforms to all students every year on August 15th.

For talent contest, the topic was ‘Best out of Waste’ and the children were provided the materials. The innovative and creative side of the children shone out so well ,that the judges had a tough time in choosing the winners. Prizes were given to all winners & snacks was provided to all. Since the school has been adopted by the Lions Club, other activities were also conducted during the October Service Week. The children were given De-worming & Vitamin tablets. Notebooks & stationary were provided. The teachers were given groceries and sarees.

The IWC Bombay Seacoast for sponsoring several projects in our school along with providing stationary supplies to our students. They have sponsored Guru Purnima, Raksha Bandan, Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations in our school. On September 17th.,the staff & children were taken for a movie,’Marykom’, which was inspirational and the children were later on asked to write their impressions.
